Roadside Impressions - United States of America

3weeks, 4000km, 7parks and a really good time!


A three week RV scenic roadtrip through the west of the united states. We have visited the parks Big Basin, Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, Gand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion. We have seen a lot of things and beautiful landscapes. From cold to hot, wet to dry and the diversity in between blows my mind.

Roadside Impressions is my photoblog. In the future there will be more destinations and episodes around the globe. This episodes will be from the past and of course the future. For this season the destination is the United States of America. Check the Map for all available episodes or start with the first so far.

bikeway to the baltic sea

starting from oranienburg riding to waren(müritz) and getting the final impression at the baltic bike path... wow, what a beatiful, calm, impressive still life!

The Foo Fighters concert at Wuhlheide Berlin was the best of the four concerts i have attended in the past... it was a nice start for my bike tour.

Rainy20h Amsterdam!

20h Amsterdam, short but impressive!

After exploring the whole center of Amsterdam a contrasty and strange
picture of Amsterdam was build.... and my damn feet hurt. On the one
hand, the face of the city, the architecture and the so called "gracht"
painted a very charming picture of an old sailor town. On the other hand
sex, drugs & crime. Especially the red light district at night is a
must-see. As photographer, you have a wide range of motives there. After
me and my cam was soaked, sadly most of the photos i have taken were out
of focus! Overall, i surely will go there again. During this 20h i felt
like a sailor being on a shore leave!

Pleasant anticipation!

The first snowflakes are fallen, and its getting cold.

Now its time to think about the winter activities!

This picture, taken in Obertauern (Austria) March '09, was a freeride from top (2.217m) to bottom (1.550m) on wonderful 2-5m deep powder...

Damn, i want to ride and test my new board!
